24 February (Language) The Center has sent its high-level teams in several states and union territories including Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir to help deal with the situation in view of the rising cases of Kovid-19.
The Union Health Ministry said that the three-member multi-specialty teams are being headed by Joint Secretary level officers in the Ministry of Health.
The ministry said, “These teams will work closely with the administration to find out the cause of the recently increased cases of Kovid-19 in the state and union territories.”
He said, “These will coordinate with health officials in the state and union territories to take steps to break the chain of outbreak of the corona virus infection.”
Central parties have been sent to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamilanadu, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir.
The ministry said that the state and union territories have been advised to conduct regular review of the emerging situation with the district authorities to ensure that there is no threat to the progress achieved so far through the Kovid-19 management .
The Center has written to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, where cases of Kovid-19 are increasing and the ratio of RT-PCR investigation has decreased.
In the letter, the Union Health Secretary asked Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir to focus on taking stringent measures to break the chain of infection and identify infected people by increasing RT-PCR tests is.
