Rapid development and empowerment of women is necessary for the development of 21st century India: PM Modi

Describing the empowerment of women as essential for the development of India in the 21st century, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the double engine government has empowered women in the last 8 years. He said that today policies are being made keeping in mind the welfare of women from the army to the mines.
Prime Minister Modi on Saturday digitally inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth over Rs 21,000 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat. This also includes the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various railway projects worth over Rs 16,000 crore. He said that these projects are going to strengthen the commitment of Gujarat’s development to India’s development.
Addressing the Vadodara Matrishakti program, the Prime Minister said, “The rapid development of women, their empowerment is equally important for the rapid development of 21st century India. Today India is making plans, taking decisions keeping in mind the needs, aspirations of women. Huh.
Referring to the challenge of malnutrition during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi said that two decades ago when Gujarat gave him the opportunity to serve, malnutrition was a big challenge here. Since then we started working in this direction one after the other, whose fruitful results are being seen today. He said that we have tried to give more opportunities at the decision making places, to advance women in Gujarat at every level. Understanding the management capability of women, sisters have been given leadership roles in many projects related to the village.
