Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government have made a big announcement regarding the Agneepath scheme. Under this, preference will be given to ‘Agniveers’ in the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles and it has been decided to reserve 10 percent vacancies for them. Apart from this, Agniveers have been given a relaxation of 3 years from the upper age limit for recruitment in both the forces.
Age relaxation will be 5 years from the upper age limit for the first batch of Agniveer. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given information about this by tweeting. Under the Agneepath scheme, the maximum age limit for recruitment in the three services has been increased from 21 years to 23 years.
