Chhattisgarh, which has won many national awards in the last 3 years, has once again shone on the national stage. This time the District Panchayat Kabirdham has been selected for the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award-2022 at the national level. Along with District Panchayat Kabirdham, Gram Panchayat Kejedah of Janpad Panchayat Sahaspur Lohara has also been selected for National Panchayat Award. This award will be presented by the Prime Minister on the occasion of National Panchayat Day on 24th April. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated the residents of the district on the selection of District Panchayat Kabirdham for the National Panchayat Award.
On being selected for the National Panchayat Award, Collector Kabirdham Shri Ramesh Sharma said that it is the result of tireless hard work that District Panchayat Kabirdham is being honored at the national level. On the other hand, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Kabirdham, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Agrawal informed that the district has been selected for the National Panchayat Award on the basis of various remarkable works done during the financial year 2020-21. After physical verification, District Panchayat Kabirdham was selected for Panchayat Award at the national level, which is a matter of pride for the district and the state.
It is noteworthy that on the directions of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel ji and Forest, Environment and Housing Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, various remarkable works have been done in the Gram Panchayat areas. Here, a large amount of employment was given to the villagers mainly under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Women were linked with livelihood promotion. On the other hand, better work was done in all areas like infrastructure development in the gram panchayat area. As a result of this, Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh has been selected for Panchayat Award-2022 at the national level. Similarly, Gram Panchayat Kejedah will be respected at the national level for providing maximum employment to the villagers, expansion of basic facilities and documentation and transparency.
