PM Modi holds high level meeting on Ukraine crisis, discusses plan to rescue Indians soon

Russia continues to bombard Ukraine for the ninth day. Russian troops took control of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant this morning. The plant caught fire during the Russian bombardment. However it was extinguished. This is the second power plant of Ukraine, which has been occupied by Russia. After the explosion in the nuclear plant, countries around the world, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, have reacted strongly against Russia. At the same time, Britain has called an emergency meeting of the UNSC. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation V.K. Singh has given this information. At the same time, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also held an important review meeting regarding the Ukraine crisis and the latest situation there.
Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a virtual meeting with the Prime Ministers of America, Japan and Australia in the online meeting of Quad on the previous day. This meeting was organized in connection with Russia’s military attack on Ukraine. Regarding the meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the leaders discussed important developments in the Indo-Pacific region. Let us tell you that the Quad is an alliance of four countries including India, America, Australia and Japan.
The issue of Ukraine and its humanitarian implications were discussed in the meeting. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy. The leaders also discussed other contemporary issues, including development of ASEAN, the Indian Ocean Region and the Pacific Islands.
