In this, the events of the year, major venues, food and other things will be mentioned prominently. Smart City has been made the nodal agency for preparation of dossier. In the dossier, Sankat Mochan temple, music festival, specialties of other tourist places including Mahatma Buddha’s Karmabhoomi Sarnath and Ramlila of Ramnagar and other programs of popular cultural importance of Kashi will be included.
Instructions have been given to make available information about Panchkroshi Parikrama, holy path temples and important photos to the smart city soon. Similarly, the Handicraft Department will also provide information about the year-long events and major handicrafts to the Smart City. Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal said that the complete report will be sent to the government in the first week of February. The dossier will be put up to make Varanasi the cultural and tourism capital of the SCO. If approved, SCO delegates will come to Kashi.
