Website extorting lakhs of rupees from Modi opponents in the name of crowdfunding disappeared

Elections are to be held in the country this year in Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand as well as Goa, Manipur and Punjab. In such a situation, the parties have started putting their full strength before the elections. The parties are attacking each other to ensure their victory in the elections. Meanwhile, now the website which is extorting lakhs of rupees from Modi opponents in the name of crowdfunding has disappeared. One of them includes ourdemocracy.in. Now this platform has suddenly disappeared or to say that there is no trace of it.

Let me tell you, Gokhale used to work for putting RTI after leaving full time job by spending 10 rupees, so he used to resort to crowdfunding to raise money. In November 2019, Gokhale tweeted a link to the crowdfunding platform saying that he had decided to quit his job to ‘fight BJP/RSS’. On the crowdfunding platform, he urged such people to gather and give money to those who are anti-Modi. With this money, he used to make his living so that he did not have to work.

Let us tell you, barely 3 months after starting this anti-Modi campaign, that is, till February 2020, Gokhale had collected more than 20 lakh rupees from anti-Modi people through this campaign. Gokhale had also admitted that he had deposited more than Rs 22 lakh. Regarding this money, Gokhale had said at that time that he would use it to meet his personal expenses and to connect such people who are anti-Modi.

However, during that time it was also revealed that the amount raised in the OurDemocracy crowdfunding platform was not giving the total figure. In such a situation, those people who had contributed money in it were not getting information about how much money Gokhale had raised. Crowdfunding is a way in which with the help of people, money and support are collected on a single issue. Whatever kind of help people do in crowdfunding, such as money, they know that

At the same time, when this crowdfunding platform was investigated by a website, it was found that Bilal Zaidi, a former NDTV journalist who has worked with channels like Times Now and WION, along with Anand Mangnale had created an online platform for independent journalists in 2017. Crowdfunding platform ‘CrowdNewsing’ was started. It was also learned that just before the 2019 general elections, when they decided to increase this platform, it was changed to ‘ourdemocracy’.
