The government has prepared a blueprint to develop more than 15,000 schools in the country as model schools and the finance ministry is considering the proposal. Under this, the government wants to develop at least one model school at each block level by 2024. Giving information about this, the sources said, “The Ministry of Education has recently sent the draft note related to the Model School (Exemplar School) to the Finance Ministry for approval.” Pass will be sent.
The Ministry of Education is also preparing to bring a new scheme in this regard, under which these schools will be developed. The special thing is that all these schools will be government only, which will be selected in collaboration with the states. It is worth noting that in this year’s general budget, a plan to set up model schools in the country was announced. Sources said that under this proposed scheme of Adarsh Schools, a total of 15,552 government schools across the country would be developed ideally.

Sources said that the proposal aims to develop one elementary and one primary school in each block and one secondary and one senior secondary school in each district as schools of excellence. As per the proposal, the Adarsh school envisages to ensure availability of adequate resources and good infrastructural arrangements to provide diverse learning and experiences in a safe, stimulating educational environment for all students.
Model schools will have many modern facilities
Sources said that these schools will help in the implementation of the National Policy on Education (NEP) and emerge as exemplary schools of excellence in their respective fields. The education system adopted in these schools will be more practical, holistic, integrated, based on real life situations, curiosity and learner centric, discussion based, flexible and enjoyable. These will have all facilities like smart classroom, library, skill lab, playground, computer lab, science lab etc.
