With the efforts of Modi government, 70 percent supply of global vaccines, now India becomes world leader with positive results

Corona has destroyed all the perceptions of the world, whether it is the importance of India or the deception of China, the foundation of western perception has been shaken. From calling India ‘Third World’ to the development perception of Europe and America, they were stunned in front of the orgy of death that started due to Corona. While Europe was busy counting the pyre, India was making the vaccine. Today, with its vaccine, India has once again proved to the world why India is the world leader.

India, which had to wait for five decades for the polio vaccine made by the West, gifted the world a life-saving vaccine under Vaccine Maitri. For years, the West denied India a ‘third world’ vaccine for polio, today the same India meets 70 percent of the world’s COVID vaccine requirements. If this is not the identity of Vishwa Guru, then what is? From the beginning of history, the West tried to keep its technology and philosophy away from a country like India due to the feeling of insecurity. Despite this, today India has kept its reserves and the doors of its knowledge open in the war with Corona.

In fact, in response to a question in the Lok Sabha on the corono virus epidemic, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave shocking figures. He said, “I am proud of our vaccine industry which supplies 70 per cent of the global requirement of vaccines, but you have to understand that this research was done in our (Modi government’s) time. The X1D3DBT is fully developed in India and the X1DD3DBT is being manufactured in India through technology transfer.”

He said that before Kovid, India used to import many equipment like N-95 masks, PPE kits, ventilators, but now the country has become an exporter of them. This achievement is significant as India was earlier dependent on the mercy of foreign countries in procuring the vaccine. Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about India’s vaccination history.

The PM had said that a poor country like India had to wait decades for the vaccine to arrive. He had said, “If you look at the history of vaccination in India, be it smallpox, hepatitis-B or polio vaccine, you will see that India had to wait for decades to get vaccines from abroad. When vaccination programs ended in other countries, it didn’t even start in our country.”

And it is indeed true, it took India more than 50 years to eradicate polio from the country. If the West had been quick to supply the vaccine, the disease could have been eradicated much earlier. However, the attitude of Western countries and large firms has not changed much even today. While India has become self-reliant, the poor countries of Africa are still struggling to vaccinate their population. Currently less than 5 percent of people in Africa are fully vaccinated and the emergence of HRD has made the situation worse.

There is no doubt that if India did not have an indigenous vaccine today, then perhaps India would not have got the vaccine yet. Due to lack of vaccine, the corona epidemic would have taken a more formidable form in the country and many innocent people would have to lose their lives. This situation can be understood with the example of polio vaccine.

According to a report by JHSD, “Western countries like America started producing and using the word “1” in the year 1955 itself. On the other hand countries like India continued to struggle with this disease. By the year 1979, America also declared itself a polio-free country and during that time India had the highest number of cases in the world. After all this, on October 2, 1994, that is, the work of polio vaccination was started in India after about 40 years as compared to America. Compare that time and compare with today and see from where India has reached.”

It is clear that if India could not make its own vaccine today, the vaccine would have to be imported. If it had to be imported then there would have been dependence on some other country and today which country would have come forward to help India in view of the changing nature of Corona? Of course no one! Just as we had to wait for other vaccines including polio, in the same way we had to wait for the corona vaccine.
