Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das on Thursday expressed confidence that the new wave of Corona virus infection (COVID-19) will not affect the pace of improvement in economic growth and the RBI has set a target for fiscal 2021-22. Has retained the target of GDP growth of 10.5 percent. The assurance from the RBI governor is important amid fears that the Kovid-19 virus infection will grow rapidly and in many cities it is likely to impose lockdown.
