In a recent development, former India opener Virender Sehwag has revealed the real inspiration behind his batting technique. He stated that ‘Angad’, a character in Ramayana is the real motivation behind the way he went about his batting during his playing days.
Sehwag, known for his typical style of hitting the ball with minimum footwork,  sheerly with his superb great hand-eye coordination, shared a picture of Angad’s character from the portrayal of Ramayana in the Ramanand Sagar directed TV serial being re-telecasted on the public broadcast network amid the dreaded coronavirus lockdown in the country.
Sehwag captioned the post, “So here is where I took my batting inspiration from. Pair hilana mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai. #Angad Ji Rocks.”

The excerpt of the letter said, “Just as Lord Hanuman brought the holy medicine from the Himalayas to save the life of Lord Rama’s brother Lakshmana, and Jesus healed those who were sick and restored the sight to Bartimeu, India and Brazil will overcome this global crisis by joining forces and sharing blessings for the sake of all people.” Interestingly on the day of Hanuman Jayanti the letter was sent.

Ahead of Diwali celebrations in India, UK Prime Minister has delivered a message of optimism in the context of Diwali, Ramayana, and the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
“While undoubtedly there are huge challenges ahead, I have every confidence in the resilience and resolve and good sense of people across the country and that together we will overcome this virus, just as Diwali teaches us that light triumphs over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance,” Johnson said from 10 Downing Street on Friday.
“Just as Lord Rama and his wife Sita found their way home after the defeat of the demon king Ravana, their way lit by many millions of lamps, so too we shall find our way through this, and we shall do so triumphantly,” he added.
Acknowledging that people would find it particularly difficult this year with all the lockdown restrictions, Johnson praised the Indian community in the UK for all their sacrifices and efforts at working towards a safe and secure Diwali.

Covid-19 vaccine in India: An expert panel on the Covid-19 vaccine has prepared a blueprint. State governments had already been asked to identify the groups to be vaccinated for Covid.

Corona virus vaccine may be available early next year. Bharat Biotech has said to launch its vaccine-Covaxin in February. This may be the first Corona vaccine to be available in India. In such a situation, the central government has speeded up the preparation of vaccine distribution. Priority groups have been fixed which will be given first vaccine, that too for free. The Center had asked the state governments to identify these groups. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has also said that initially 30 crore Indians will get vaccinated. The government has mainly divided these Indians into four categories.
One crore health professionals in first group
Apart from doctors, nurses, paramedics staff and Asha workers, MBBS doctors will also be a part of this group. They will first get the Kovid vaccine.
Twenty million frontline workers in second group
The second group in the priority list is those who are handling the arrangements even during the epidemic. These include police and armed forces in addition to the employees of the municipal bodies.
26 million people in the third group
This 26 crore people are those whose population is more than 50 years. They are at high risk of corona infection, so it is necessary to get vaccinated first.
One crore people in the special category
There will also be one crore people in the priority list, whose age will be less than 50 years, but they will have some other disease. Corona cases have shown that people suffering from other diseases are at higher risk of life. In such a situation, it will be tried to save them from the pandemic by giving them vaccine first.
Distribution of corona vaccine The government will run a universal immunization program as well as a corona vaccination campaign. The eVIN platform will also be used for the corona vaccine.
