Apart from this, six squadrons of LCA MK2 are also included in this list. According to the information, the Mk-2 fighter aircraft will be the most advanced LCA variant which will be indigenously designed and developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). These indigenously built fighter aircraft will increase the strength of the Indian Air Force.
The same Indian Air Force is also preparing to buy 114 Multirole Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) fighter aircraft. Of these, 96 will be indigenously manufactured and 18 aircraft will be imported by foreign aircraft manufacturers. This will give a boost to the self-reliant India campaign as well as strengthen the Indian Air Force.
Six squadrons of Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) are also included in the future shopping list of the IAF. The AMCA is considered to be the 5th generation fighter jet. This aircraft is being made quite dangerous and state-of-the-art, which is capable of giving competition to America’s powerful F-35 fighter jet.
The Indian Air Force is procuring five S-400 missile systems manufactured by Russia. For this, India had signed a contract with Russia for 40 thousand crores. This Russian-made missile system is considered to be the world’s most capable surface-to-air system.
Apart from this, the government will buy 106 basic training aircraft from HAL for the Air Force. Along with this, preparations are being made to buy six new Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. There are plans to upgrade the same Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft. Along with this, the old generation Mi-17 and Mi-18 helicopters are also to be upgraded.
