The future of medical students returning from Ukraine will not be spoiled, PM Modi’s government is arranging this

Indian students are returning to the country after Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Most of these students went to Ukraine to study medicine. The students returning to the country and their families are worried about their future, as there should be no hindrance in medical studies. According to sources, PM Narendra Modi is thinking about this and the government will not put the future of the students at stake.

In such a situation, arrangements will be made for them to complete the course in medical colleges of India or abroad in the next session. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) had written a letter to Modi requesting his intervention in this regard. The government is considering this and a decision will be taken this month.

The student has to complete the course and then do an internship from the same medical college. Students returning from Ukraine and their families are worried because of this reason that they should not have to leave their studies in the middle. This will waste valuable years of students and a lot of money of their parents. According to sources, the government is contemplating that by relaxing the rules, students should be admitted in private medical colleges of India. Apart from this, if students want to go to medical colleges of other countries, then they should also get approval.

What Modi is thinking about this can be seen from the fact that during his meeting with the students who returned from Ukraine in Varanasi on Thursday, he had told that the government is preparing to increase the seats in medical colleges. At present there are 605 medical colleges in India and 325 of them are private. If the government decides to increase the seats, then about 20000 students will be able to get admission in them and their future will be saved from being ruined.
