The ordeal of efficient and capable leadership lies in difficult times. The world also salutes the leadership who succeeds in this examination. While the powerful countries of the world and their leadership seem helpless in the Corona epidemic, despite limited resources, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi is going ahead and facing new forms of this epidemic. As soon as the new form of corona virus ‘Omicron’ was detected in South Africa, Prime Minister Modi also swung into action.
Amidst the worldwide apprehensions, an important meeting was held on Saturday to review the latest situation of Corona in the country and the ongoing vaccination campaign. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, NITI Aayog Member (Health) VK Paul and some other officials were present in this meeting held through digital medium. Prime Minister Modi and his government are fully alert about this new variant of Corona. To prevent this deadly variant, the Indian government has released the names of 12 countries including South Africa, Britain, Hong Kong and Botswana and included them in the category of ‘at risk’ countries. Screening of air travelers coming from these countries has been made mandatory. All these passengers will have to follow the guidelines issued by the Government of India.
