West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sent special mangoes from Bengal as a gift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. In keeping with a tradition started in 2011 when she first became chief minister, Mamata Banerjee last week sent Bengal’s mango varieties – Himsagar, Malda and Laxmanbhog – to PM Modi.
Not only this, Mamta Banerjee has also sent mangoes to the
country’s President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh. Apart from this, mango boxes have also been sent to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Apart from this, Mamta Banerjee also sends sweets to PM Modi, which was mentioned by Narendra Modi himself in an interview with Akshay Kumar. Many ministers, including PM Modi, have been sent on behalf of Mamata Banerjee at a time when there are many issues. But the conflict between the state government and the center continues.
