A Jammu and Kashmir police constable was allegedly shot dead in Udhampur district of Union territory on Saturday night. Sources said, Special Police Officer (SPO) Manohar Lal opened fire on Udhampur Senior Grade Constable Kaka Ram from his AK-47 at around 10.50 pm near Jakhni Chowk. Ram succumbed to his shift to army hospital. Sources said the cause of provocation is being ascertained. However, a police official said there was some reshuffle which led to the firing. The police has registered a case in the case.
