25 February (talk) Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on a day-long visit to the Union Territory on Thursday.
Acting Deputy Governor of Puducherry Tamilisai Sundararajan, Chief Secretary Ashwini Kumar, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, local leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and leaders of allies received Mr. Modi at the airport.
Mr. Modi left the airport for the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) where he would dedicate several centrally sponsored projects to the nation and lay the foundation stone for them.
The Prime Minister will also address the BJP’s public meeting at Lospet Maidan and after that he will leave for Chennai.
