The Delhi Police has now started clamping down on protesting farmers who had caused nuisance under the tractor parade in Delhi on 26 January. Significantly, there was a tractor rally on the day of Republic Day in Delhi, in which the distraught farmers allegedly went out of the way and committed violence in Delhi. Now giving information in this case, Prof. Ish Singhal of Delhi Police said that in the cases related to farmer movement, Delhi Police has registered 44 FIRs and arrested 122 people.
