Hinduism has been mocked through films, stories, cartoons, comedy, photos or paintings. Recently, even in the Gyanvapi case of Varanasi, the fundamentalists started making fun of Shivling. But those who make fun of other’s faith and religion are not able to tolerate a word about their own religion. They are not ready to listen to anything against their religion.
They get furious when they say anything about their religion and take the path of violence. In a similar case, when a channel called Shivling a fountain, Nupur Sharma questioned that like people repeatedly making fun of their God, in the same way they can also make fun of other religions. After this, whatever Nupur said, it has also been called by Muslim Maulana and fugitive Zakir Naik.
Due to this Nupur Sharma was threatened with rape, death and beheading. It did not stop only that anger flared up outside India as well. Many Muslim countries including Qatar, Iran, Kuwait got angry towards India. In the end, BJP had to suspend Nupur Sharma. Regarding this, users on social media are asking that when they have been making fun of Hindu religion and Shivling since the beginning, when will they be acted upon?
