A war has broken out between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the country’s oldest party, the Congress, to become the Leader of the Opposition. Mamta Banerjee is considering the Congress as the biggest obstacle in the way of taking charge of the opposition. Therefore, there is a lot of ruckus going on to get the Congress out of its way and establish itself at the national level. While the Congress is inducting leaders into its party, it is putting the strings on the constituents of the UPA. Due to this the Congress leaders have got stunned and have started hitting back at Mamta Banerjee.
In fact, Mamta Banerjee is placing her hand on the aching vein of the Congress under a strategy. Mamta Banerjee, who reached Maharashtra, targeted Rahul Gandhi and said that if a person does not do anything and only stays abroad, how will it work? If you stay in the field, BJP will lose. When Mamta Banerjee was asked why you are fighting with Congress, she replied that if Congress and Left can fight against us in Bengal, then we can also go against them.
After meeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Mumbai, Mamata Banerjee said there is no UPA.
The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) is over. Mamta has given a clear indication by questioning the very existence of the UPA that she no longer accepts the leadership of the Congress. It is making every effort to prevent other parties from going towards Congress. For this, she is trying to prove the Congress weak. What she is trying to convey is that the Congress is not in a position to challenge the BJP so that it becomes the only option for regional forces.
The Congress, hurt by the attacks of Mamta Banerjee, has also opened a front. According to sources, the decision to make a big attack on Mamta was taken in the meeting held on Wednesday night. Congress MP from West Bengal and Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury launched a scathing attack on Mamata saying that she does not know about UPA. He questioned whether Mamata Banerjee doesn’t know what is UPA, I think she has started going crazy. She further said, ‘She thinks that the whole of India has started chanting ‘Mamata-Mamata’, but India does not mean Bengal and Bengal alone does not mean India. His strategy is slowly getting exposed in the last elections (in West Bengal)
