Chhattisgarh among the top 5 states of the country in best governance

Chhattisgarh is among the top five states known for best governance. Chhattisgarh has been ranked fourth in the list of best governed states in the year 2021. Kerala has topped the list with 1.618 points. According to the Public Affairs Index (PAI) 2021, Chhattisgarh has scored 0.872, which is ranked by looking at and evaluating growth, equity and sustainability indicators.

According to the sixth edition of the Public Affairs Index (PAI 2021) report by the Public Affairs Center (PAC), a Bengaluru-based non-profit think tank, Chhattisgarh also ranked third in the Sustainability Index with a score of 0.946. The Sustainability Index ranks states on the basis of access and use of resources. It has an impact on the economy, environment and mankind.

Chhattisgarh got national award in three categories for empowerment of persons with disabilities

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has announced the winners of the National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for the year 2020. In this Chhattisgarh has received National Award in three categories. This award will be given to Chhattisgarh on the occasion of International Day of Disability on 3rd December in New Delhi. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Anila Bhendia have congratulated the selected ones for receiving the National Award.
The Bell Press, run by the Social Welfare Department in Bilaspur, has been selected in the category of Best Braille Press for the National Award. Naya Raipur has been selected in the category of local body for its excellent work in creating barrier free environment for disabled persons. For this, Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran will be honored with the National Award.
