27 February (Dialogue) India and Bangladesh have reiterated their commitment to expand and strengthen mutual cooperation in security and border related issues.
The 19th Home Secretary level talks between the two countries were held on Saturday through virtual channels. The meeting, held in the backdrop of the ‘Mujib Year’ and the 50 years of the Bangladesh Liberation War and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, is considered to be very important. The Indian delegation was led by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, while the Bangladesh delegation was led by Mustafa Kamaluddin, Senior Secretary in the Public Safety Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Bangladesh.
