Venkaiah distressed by Himachal assembly incident

27th February (Talks) Disturbed by the unfortunate incident with the Governor in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Complex recently, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday urged all the public representatives to maintain their conduct in a civilized and dignified manner on every platform. .
In the 11th convocation of Dr. BR Ambedkar Law University, Tamil Nadu, Shri Naidu said that the judiciary, legislature or executive should follow high moral standards and exemplary conduct model.
He said, “Public life and people in high positions should set an example for others by maintaining high standards.”
Significantly, yesterday, five Congress MLAs were suspended in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Complex with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya for allegedly scuffling with some Congress members.
The Vice President said, “I am distressed by the recent incidents in Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and some other states. He urged the public representatives to conduct themselves in a civilized and dignified manner on every platform, otherwise, people may soon become disenchanted with politics. ”
Shri Naidu said that matters related to atrocities on weaker sections, especially women and children, are also worrisome.
