Inauguration of world’s largest cricket stadium, new name after Prime Minister Modi

24 February (talk) President Ramnath Kovind today performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, which is near the formal inauguration of Narendra Modi Stadium located in Motera area, the world’s largest cricket stadium.

When it was demolished for reconstruction in 2016, it had a capacity of 54,000 spectators and was then named Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium. It is now renamed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was earlier the President of Gujarat Cricket Association. The foundation stone for the new cricket stadium was laid in January 2018. The England and India teams will also play the fourth Test match and a total of 5 T Twenty matches. On the other hand, the nearby sports enclave will be spread over an area of ​​233 acres and will also have an indoor stadium with a capacity of more than 10,000 spectators. Narendra Modi Stadium will also become a part of this enclave.
