Government is working on four fronts to keep India healthy: PM Modi

23 February (Language) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that his government is adopting a holistic approach to healthcare in the country, with a focus on improving not only treatment but health.

Modi, while addressing a webinar organized on the effective implementation of the budget provisions of the Center in the health sector, said that the budget allocated for the health sector is now exceptional and it reflects the government’s commitment to the sector.

The Prime Minister said that there is a need to make healthcare affordable and its accessibility to the next level, for which the use of modern technology is being increased.

He said that to keep India healthy, the government is working together on four fronts – disease prevention and health improvement, ensuring access to healthcare for all, increasing the quality and quantity of healthcare infrastructure And working in mission mode to overcome problems.

Modi said that the world has seen the strength of India’s health sector during the Kovid-19 global epidemic and India’s respect in this area has increased.
He said that in future the demand for Indian doctors and paramedical personnel will increase worldwide. Modi said that the country should be prepared for the growing demand for India-made vaccines.
