8 big decisions of Modi government which affected every Indian

The Modi government has completed its eight-year term in power at the Center today (May 26, 2022). The journey of the Modi government in the last eight years has been full of achievements. During this, the government took many such decisions, which were very much discussed. While these decisions worked to change the condition and direction of the country, it has played an important role in bringing revolutionary changes in the lives of the people. He took many such big decisions whose effect was far-reaching and gave relief to the common man.
On the completion of eight years of the Modi government, let us know about eight such decisions, which not only made headlines but also affected every Indian. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the world by surprise by launching the world’s largest vaccination campaign on January 16, 2021. While the government gave great relief to the countrymen in difficult times, it helped neighboring and friendly countries by providing vaccines. The vaccination campaign of the Modi government is continuously making records and is progressing at a fast pace with success.
More than 192.82 crore vaccines have been administered so far. More than 3,33,02,653 children aged 12 to 14 have been given the first dose. 5,93,02,696 adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years have been given the first dose and 4,52,06,782 adolescents have also been given the second dose.Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in March 2020 to help the poor people during the Corona crisis Prime Minister announced Garib Kalyan Package. A budget of Rs 1.70 lakh crore was allocated for this package. Under this, arrangements were made to provide 5 kg of grains (wheat or rice), one kg of pulses per person per month for three months to 80 crore people.
Later it was extended in six phases till September 2022. Now under the sixth phase of this scheme, 80 crore beneficiaries will get free ration till September 2022. Under this, the government will distribute 1,003 lakh tonnes of food grains to poor families, which is estimated to cost Rs 3.4 lakh crore. So far the government has spent Rs 2.60 lakh crore and in the next 6 months, Rs 80 thousand crore will be spent on this. So far five phases of this scheme have been run. Till March 2022, the Food Ministry had distributed a total of 759 lakh tonnes of food grains to the states and union territories.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to make the country self-reliant by turning the challenge arising out of the Corona crisis into an opportunity. In a message to the nation on May 12, 2020, a special economic assistance package of Rs 20 lakh crore was announced. During this, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the word self-reliant India. He named it self-reliant India campaign. He also defined the five pillars of self-reliant India – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Demography and Demand. On this occasion, he emphasized on Vocal for Local to promote local products and he talked about making it global.
