In the last eight years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s victory saga is resonating not only in the country but in front of the world due to incomparable decisions. The flag of India’s victory on the world stage is flying with full speed. We are all witnesses of the achievements made by the PM Modi government. Although the central government has achieved thousands of successes in eight years, but here we tell you about the biggest eight achievements of the last eight years, which created history. Some of these decisions and achievements were achieved only under Modi’s rule after centuries of struggle. This eight-year-old is such a giant, such a milestone, which means a lot to every common man of the country. Those who continuously provide energy to the development and expectations of the nation, society and individual. Those who make a splendid image of a strong, powerful and determined New India in front of the world.
Modi government implemented demonetisation as a major weapon against black money, terrorism, counterfeit notes and terror funding. Prime Minister Modi himself came on TV and told that from tonight the notes of 500 and 1000 rupees will become useless. The public got complete freedom to deposit these notes in banks. The government laid full emphasis on increasing digital currency and creating a digital economy. The historic decision of demonetisation led to an increase in digital transactions. In 2016-17, digital transactions of Rs 1013 crore were done. This increased to 2,070.39 crores in 2017-18 and digital transactions of Rs 3133.58 crores in 2018-19. Now digital transactions of Rs 7422 crore have taken place in 2021-22, which is 33 percent more than last year. It has also achieved great success against terrorism, naxalism and counterfeit currency.
After PM Modi became the Prime Minister, India’s attitude towards dealing with terrorism changed completely. After independence, first on 28 September 2016, during the surgical strike and then on 26 February 2019, during the air-strike, India entered the enemy’s territory and taught it a lesson. After independence, India crossed the international border only during the Indo-Pakistani War. For the first time during the surgical strikes and then the air strikes, India taught a lesson to the terrorists by crossing the international border to respond to terrorist incidents, despite there being no war situation. This strengthened India’s image of fighting against terrorism. The whole world felt that under the leadership of PM Modi, India can now eliminate its enemies by going anywhere. This was the reason that the people of India brought the Modi government to power in 2019 with more power. Before the implementation of GST by the Modi government, every state used to collect its different taxes. Half the tax goes to the central government and half to the states. The recovery is done by the central government. Later returns the money to the states. Actually, in the year 2000, the Vajpayee government thought of implementing a single tax in the entire country. A committee was also formed to prepare the bill. But the states were afraid that they would not get as much revenue as they were getting. Because of this the matter got stuck. In March 2011, Manmohan Singh’s government tried to implement it, but it failed. In 2014, the Narendra Modi government came up with the Constitution Amendment Bill after some necessary changes with new thinking. The bill was passed by Parliament in August 2016. Four bills related to GST were passed by the Parliament on 12 April 2017.
