After 2 days from today our whole country will celebrate Republic Day. The day when everyone remembers those brave sons who gave their lives to liberate India and became immortal by mixing their blood in the soil of the country. Before 26 January, recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) has announced to install a huge statue of one such brave son Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate. Let us tell you that this statue is going to be special in many ways. About which we will tell you today in this article.
Obviously this statue is of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, so it is bound to be special. What will make this idol more special is the stone used in it and the sculptor who made it. Yes, this 28 feet high statue will be made of granite. Which will be prepared by the famous sculptor Advait Gadnayak coming from Odisha. This statue of Netaji will be installed under the umbrella built at India Gate.
Let us tell you that the sculptor Advaita is known for the Dandi March sculpture at Rajghat, the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi. The granite stone in which this idol will be carved will be specially brought from Khammam district of Telangana. From where the stone was brought for the National Police Memorial. Advaita has carved many sculptures apart from Dandi March. In which many statues including the statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed at Raj Ghat, the ‘Salt March’ statue of the Father of the Nation and the statues installed in London are included.
Sculptor Advaita said about making a statue of Netaji (Subhash Chandra Bose), he is very happy that the Prime Minister has entrusted him with this task. By this work Netaji will get respect for his right. At the same time, he expressed pride that Netaji comes from Odisha, so he got the honor of carving the statue of Netaji. Apart from this, Gadnayak while talking on the statue said, as Netaji (Subhash Chandra Bose) was of a very strong character. For this reason, a strong stone like granite was chosen for his statue. At the same time, the black color of granite connects with the energy of Mahakali and Lord Krishna.
